Supervisor Module

Overview:

The FortiSwitch AX9000G-SUP controls the FortiSwitch AX9004G chassis and performs packet forwarding.

An FortiSwitch AX9004G switch chassis can host up to 2x FortiSwitch AX9000G-SUP supervisor modules. At least one supervisor module is required for an AX9004G chassis. When two supervisor modules are installed in an AX9004G chassis, they work as AP (Active-Passive) mode or AA (Active-Active) mode* for control and forwarding redundancy. The supervisor module is hot swappable and includes a 10/100/1000BASE-T management port, USB port, RS232C console port, and a 1PPS OUT terminal (SMA connector, for future use).

*Active-Active mode will be supported by future firmware.
